Every so often, If Google is aware of your website, it downloads the pages of your website and puts the sites in its database. The technical name for this it is “spiders” your website.

SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimisation, the name given to one of the most popular disciplines for promoting a website.
What does it involve?
The basics are changing the structure and content of both the website and the web pages to make it more attractive to the Search Engines. To make the site more attractive it must be easy for the Search Engine to read, to examine if the content is relative and original, as well as being linked from other websites the Search Engines like.

If successful it is very cost effective
Disadvantages
It can be quite time consuming.
It can take up to six months before showing any positive effect.
It’s ongoing because Search Engines change their opinions on what makes a site attractive to them at least twice a year, as well as competitor websites are also trying to improve.
