Over 65s shop online more than anyone else.

Research published yesterday points out that the generation most likely to shop online are those over 65.

Although this an American study, the UK is always about a year behind, so it’s important to remember this statistic and cater for over 65s when designing and organising a company’s website.

Over 65s generally:

  • Need trust and credibility before buying online.
  • They research products and services more.
  • They are more likely to buy from a brand they know already.
  • Site Security is more an issue.
  • Word of mouth recommendations hold more sway.
